Glamourize me - Make up "moves"

Frederika has beautiful features, rectangular face shape and deep set eyes.

Recommendation for Frederika's make up daily routine:

Day time office look is soft, accentuating strong points.

Primer & foundation : Silicon based  for oily skin.

Eyes : Earthy brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner and 2coats mascara will ensure eyes pop out.

Cheeks and lips: Pinkish blusher and lipstick made her skin look healthy and younger.

Extra tip: lip gloss for all day hydration.

Recommendation for night out make up:

Eye makeup is upgraded  for smokey effect using dark brown eyeshadow. Brown pencil was applied to the inner waterline on both upper and lower lids.

To make sure eyes are the main point, we applied false strip lashes on upper eyelids.

Contour forehead and highlight under eye, above cupids bow and chin.

Extra tip: for an evening makeup feel free to use a bold lipstick in addition to smokey eyes:)

Glamourize me! From invisible to noticeable

Another funny day ,another "spice it up" session with our client.

This beautiful lady Frederika provided us with her wardrobe, full of clothes and wanted to check out what to keep and what to get rid of.

As every woman she also loves shopping and wants herself to look stylish and chic for any occasion.

Styling pieces for her was very easy as she is tiny, her body shape is pear and balanced.

Medium bone structure, no prominent features to be hidden actually and beautiful face with a long neck.

Determining her personal style took us to took us to sporty chic.

Self motivated T-Shirt as a favorite piece styled for a casual day with a chic and comfy look .

Zipped black top with a bit bulkier texture seems like a challenge to be styled .However, it can be used as a top or vest with some other colorful piece.

Going from day office style to night party style is always easy. This time with "Little black dress".
Take off your blazer, change the bag for stylish clutch. Spice it up with accessories and do not forget to emphasize your make up a bit.

Wish you all the best and do not forget to subscribe for newest post.

PREP & PRIME

Now that we know how to prepare skin for make up application, let’s prime.

There is a wide range of primers on the market. The role of a primer is to "mattify" the skin, improve coverage and make cosmetics last longer.

According to your skin type you need to choose between silicon and water based primer.  I would recommend silicon based products for oily skin as it controls oil and creates a barrier between skin and foundation.

"Water based products are good for drier skin to assure enough moisture."

We all know water and silicon (oil) don’t mix so make sure you use same base foundation on top of primer.

These two steps before make up application are called PREP and PRIME. By doing this as a routine before each make up application you will ensure your skin stays healthy and your make up will last longer.

Homemade Skin Cleanser

As I promised, here is great recipe for homemade cleanser from Make up artist Lucia.

We decided that this month will be dedicated to skin care.

First part from our series has been already published , in case you missed out you can find it here.

Homemade Cleanser Ingredients:

Don’t trust chemicals? Here is a tip on a homemade cleanser for all skin types.

Homemade cleanser ingredients:

- 1/8 cup ground almonds (use coffee grinder for grinding)
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Almond oil is a rich source of vitamin E that gives your skin the proper nourishment.

Milk is a natural cleanser that leaves your skin look fair and smooth. Lemon not only cleanses but also retains the natural skin complexion.

However be careful with acidic products like lemon juice. Stronger acidity turns product into a peeling agent!

Once you try it, we would love to hear from you.
Leave us a comment and let us know, how you like it!

Wish you "Stylishly Embroidered" day:)

Healthy skin Formula

Have you ever wondered why your make up doesn’t last?
Do you have breakouts, dry patches or redness?

Let’s talk about Skin Care.

It is very important to know your skin type. Accordingly, you choose products for oily, dry or combination skin.  Before applying any make up make sure you prepare your skin. Here is an easy step by step guide how to prepare your skin for make up application.

Wash your face with clear lukewarm water. Apply cleanser which suits you best. There are a lot of forms of cleansers on the market, I personally prefer gel form. Apply gel on wet face in circular motion, rinse thoroughly. (Cleansers with grape or cucumber extracts work wonders) Dry your face with soft cotton towel.

Tone. Toner helps closing open pores, it gives your skin healthy dose of what it needs to look younger, fresher and smoother. There are toners to suit every skin type.

Exfoliate if required. Exfoliation is very important for skin’s recovery process. It gets rid of dead skin cells and impurities clogging pores. Gentle exfoliation is recommended once a week.

Moisturize well. I recommend you ladies to go to skin specialists for skin mapping. This will tell you your skin type and recent condition, so you know exactly which products to use, including moisturizers.

This routine is called CTM. Cleanse, tone, moisturize.

Make sure to always remove make up and other impurities and bacteria from your face before sleep for healthy and vital skin!

Make up artist on scene!!!

I can proudly announce, that I have teamed up with talented make up artist Lucia who will take care of content dedicated to make up.

Lucia  is professional make up artist with positive energy and enthusiasm who acquired her knowledge from  London College of make up.

If you have any question or suggestion what you would like to read about , feel free to mention it under the blog within the comments..

Couple of words from Lucia:
What does makeup mean for you?
Ever since I was a little girl I would do make up for my dolls and later girlfriends.I think it is an absolute necessity for every woman and a great tool to accentuate the beauty.I can’t live without.

What is the minimum every lady should have in her pouch?
Definitely a tinted moisturizer, good mascara and a lipstick.

Your perfect trick for a night out?
Lashes, lashes and again lashes.

Make up by Lucia:

Do you always follow latest trends?
I do follow trends, it is important for me as a professional to know what’s new and I just love to browse blogs and magazines. However for my clients I always recommend to consider their skin tone and overall look before trends.

Have I mentioned special effects? This is something :)

Winning photography from the competition with Lucia's touch. See the six packs there? Yes ,that is it.

Why should women visit a makeup professional?
Makeup artists have a different perspective when assessing your face. We consider skin tone, undertone, face and eye shapes as well as skin condition of each client in order to use the right product, not to mention the tricks and ways how to smother weaknesses and accentuate the strong points.
Women leave with boosted confidence and knowledge on how to bring this great feeling back on:)
